What are a few of the accessories required for broomsticks, and why are they necessary?

Since brooms tend to nose down there's the Levitational Bracket - it comes in many different types depending on the purpose the broom is being used for, and the rider's preferences. Then there are assorted seats and foot-hooks, again, different broom-uses require different levels of softness or firmness, strength or flexibility, thickness, etc., so each rider has to pick the type appropriate for their needs. There are custom paints that not only make each broom unique but also add to aerodynamics. There are twig oils for sound (though most outgrow the desire for their brooms to be loud by the time they are twenty), chrome and brass polishes, custom rainsheilds, and so much more. You really need to visit Quality Quiditch Supplies to get a feel for all the accessories available.

What does it mean to be the Half-Blood Prince?
