The table in his dorm room was wobbly so he used a Spell to stick it to the short leg and steady the table.


Why, with several of the most brilliant teachers at Hogwarts placing protections - each using their own special areas of interest - on the Philosopher's Stone's hiding place, could three inexperienced kids manage to get through all of them ?

They were optical illusions - all you had to do is speak and the spells/enchantments would melt away.
