There is so much I'd love to chat about, but don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I thought they did a wonderful job. Its a bit like finding a REALLY GOOD fan fiction that keeps canon and makes the story so interesting that it just feels right.

Sequels
Initially, in October 2014, the studio announced the film would be the start of a trilogy. The second instalment is set to be released on 16 November 2018, followed by the third on 20 November 2020.[65][66][67] In July 2016, David Yates confirmed that Rowling had written the screenplay for the second film and has ideas for the third.[68] However, in October 2016 Rowling confirmed that the series would comprise five films.[69] In November 2016, it was announced that Johnny Depp was cast to co-star in an undisclosed role, and was revealed to have a cameo in the first film.[70] A week later, he was confirmed to be playing Gellert Grindelwald, and will have a starring role in the sequel.[71] The week of the film's release Yates confirmed he will direct all five films.

Hope you enjoy it as much as Figgy and I did Paint!

4 more sequels? I can't help but wonder where this story is heading?
obviously, it will not likely be about Newt any more ...
... curious - anyone else think it will head to the final battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald?

I could see the series revolving around Newt's travels and adventures. He's still got to marry Porpentina (canon), there could be lots of exotic locations, he could have to move a Dragon Preserve to avoid WWII situations. rescue and/or relocate all manner of critters, and there will have to be more problems with Secrecy Statutes and Grindelwald most certainly, Yeti/Bigfoot confrontations and just enough escaping that Muggles/Nomaj have tales of them, some beasts going extinct, he could even teach at a magical school while doing research/rescues on the side (ala Indiana Jones). I see so many possibilities that five films might only be the beginning.

never really thought about it that way Figgy ... thanks

lol - I just looked it up in IMDB.com and the next title (to date) is called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2". The two actors associated with the movie are Newt (Eddie) and Grindlewald (Depp)

Everyone agrees it is a good film, all the reviews and all the friends (you included) that have seen it. I´m going next Saturday. I love Ezra Miller so I hope I can like his character at least. *yep, still skeptical*

He does an amazing job. His character is really important to the story and he doesn't look like any other part I've seen him in.

hope you enjoy the film Tonks. I found it very entertaining & there was no book to judge it to (which gave me a better perspective)
and yes - his role is a major one.
