ok - curious. Both these names are consistent with my true initials ... why didn't that happen with yours Figgy?

Wow! You have more Magic than I do! Too cool. Mine came out Catriona Lynch. (But I was happy with the Cat part, thought it touched on my McGonigall's Cat screen name, so didn't try for another. I was a little perturbed that I couldn't cut & paste the outcome, though.) I just tried another time, got Charity MacMillian. Maybe they grab the initials from the name you sign up with? I just tried a third time with McGonagall's Cat for a name and got the name Miranda Chang, so that seems like how it might work - or maybe there are several House Elves who use their Magic to come up with plausible identities for the Wizarding World's version of passports... and Bloomsbury figured out how to hack into their system. It might be that there is significance in the magical vibration of the first letters entered, the initials that the witch or wizard offers, so the Elves try to stay with that energy. . |
