The only granite things around here all have names & dates on them. And are clustered together.

lol - in 2014, the answer would have been yes!
but the winter gods have looked favorably upon us this year ... :bow-yellow:
although - they have once again changed the forecast ... more of the same... no warm-ups any time soon

congrats on your tornado standing!
(Sask is the province with the most also, but trust me, our numbers are barely out of the double digits)

Speaking of which -

We have this REALLY neat cemetery here that is almost like an art museum, with lots of our famous pioneers and such buried there. Its where our Civil War vets are buried, and there are statues of Civil War soldiers that watch over various plots. The monuments are gorgeous : a full-sized white horse up on four columns, lots of bigger-than-me angels in various poses, a cabin, books on plinths, just all sorts of amazing markers. In May and June when the flowers are abundant it really is like going to a beautiful museum. Anyhow, last week the breaking-up ice from the South Platte started being pushed onto the land and is plowing over the monuments closer to the river. Fortunately the ones tipped and broken have been "plain-er" ones, but they're still things like ten-foot-tall spires that look a bit like DC's Washington Monument, and the square-with names-and-dates types. Did I mention the name of the cemetery is Riverside?

We too have a Riverside Cemetery. Though not nearly as fancy as yours.
It's fun to wander around reading the old tombstones. Unfortunately, many of the older sandstone ones are so wore, that they're virtually impossible to read.

I'm a firm believer that those that desecrate grave markers should be given the opportunity to have their own very soon.

I am worried about Moo ... has she been able to tunnel herself out?
I have been hearing about all the nasty storms hitting the east coast again ... can't believe the weather they are getting.
