Been very warm and dry lately. Temps have been in the mid 70's to low 80's during the day so everything has massively dried out. Lots of underbrush left after all that snow melted...think most of it evaporated. Probably why we didn't get the flooding. Been windy as heck...but feels good.

Don't really need any more winds this way either.
Cooled off today, though actually got a bit of a sunburn a couple of days ago.

* grumble, grumble, grumble *

Its sloppy, chilly, and soaks through your coat no matter what (though I didn't try the old concert standby, a trash bag raincoat)... Just delightful. It was gray and dreary all day, wavering between snowing and heavy rain. Now there's an inch or so of snow - and its supposed to continue until 9am.

[But still much nicer to deal with than fire.]

And now the electric is flickering.

yikes - that electric near your home frightens me!

it got well below freezing the last couple nights; plants seemed to fare ok (phew)

well, the winds died down to almost nothing here ... been fighting them so long that I almost forgot how to drive in a straight line lol

And in Loony's neck of the woods, too. She also mentioned the flickering lights last night on Facebook. Hope Figgy and Loony don't have to shovel or drive in any of that mess. And I hope the power stays on.

No rain here yet and we desperately need it. Maine and New Hampshire have been under red flag warnings all week. Wicked dry. Temps today are supposed to get up to 80 so hopefully that will trigger a storm later. We really need the rain here. Not too windy at the moment but that should change later.
