LOL - ok. sounds good to me
however ... who is going to pay me to take all these pics?
(not exactly a portrait photographer)
plus ... "hushed tones" ... Canadian Geographic and Canadian Wildlife basically just "steal' any photo they want if you post to their site.

I know, right. It is the reason I stopped posting photos to their site or entering any of their contests. According to their rules and regulations, we maintain ownership/copyright but they have the right to use any photo for any form of publicity without compensation to the copyright holder - regardless of what the publicity item may be. They could make posters, sweaters, mugs, ... anything they want to without acknowledging you as the photographer or without any monetary compensation.

National Geographic is mostly the same; except that if they market your photo on merchandise, they will compensate you at their current rates (but they do not need your permission to use your photo for marketing purposes)

Pretty pathetic!

Wow. Why bother with the rules and regulations? Seems pretty redundant. Geez.

lol - those are the rules and regulations.
guess they figure they are so prestigious, we should be paying them for the honor of using their sites. go figure!

Somehow I get the feeling that you don't find it quite the honor they think you should.

lol - I know - what is wrong with me!

it is very cool here this morning. we are going to get a high of 9C today.
it is still wet outside, but at least the rains have stopped sometime during the night.
(I am just thankful we didn't get Moo like rains!)

Guess I'm the odd man out.
Hasn't been anywhere near freezing in this neck of the woods.

We have had a "Sudden Fall".

On last Thursday and Friday it was still summery, then overnight into Saturday morning there were suddenly a bunch of dry leaves blown onto my front walkway and it went breezy and chilly. It officially rained, but wasn't real rain, just enough to knock the dust down and feel gray and dreary for a few days.

Have I mentioned Fall is my least favourite time of year? :|

Autumn is my second favorite!
It signals the approach of Winter. :happy-partydance: :occasion-snowman:
