Holy WIND batman ... they are up to 100 km/hr right now.
they woke me early this morning; I sure hope the house is still standing by the time I get back home tonight.

I saw the high wind warnings posted for Howlerville!

Ours aren't that bad. Thank goodness! Seems that the winds will be ushering in much cooler air.
Snow on the way.
In the meantime, it hasn't stopped raining for the last day & a half... Nothing heavy, just mostly annoying.

Howlerville didn't get as much snow and ice as the city did. The closer to work I got, the icier the roads were. (this is where I do a wahoo & whoop whoop for getting studded tires). There were a few truckers jackknifed & although there were no vehicles in the ditch, there were several spots where some had gone in and drove out again. I am sure the winds contributed to the sliding off the roads.

The winds were so loud they woke me up at 4:30 this morning; they aren't expected to ease up until sometime tomorrow. They won't be quite as raging through the night, but high speeds none the less.

We had part of your winds here today, Howler. Here in the immediate sense ~ A truck was blown off the east-bound lanes so they shut down I-70 about 5 miles west of here. Down in the flatlands many similar incidents. And there were the obligatory weathermen out in it trying to report while the traffic signs behind them did a hoochie-coochie dance. They said, "The Jet Stream was directly over the state today." No! Really?

Still windy today, snow moving in for tomorrow. Steadily dropping temps. for the next few days.

pretty darned chilly here today.
(and it is only because I am just not used to it yet; it was +11C on Sunday and now it is -11C)

These people are pretty good about hyping the forecast. I'm waiting for the flakes to fall.



On the plus side, the cooler temps. should finally put an end to the bugs.

Snow is expected to arrive about the time I get off work.
at least the winds are beginning to ease up a bit.

So far it seems that they got it right. (Shock)
As a show of faith, I engaged the front axle of my truck before parking it for the night.


Snowing like crazy... Though not as crazy as the morons that shouldn't be driving.
