We had 4" of heavy wet snow on June 1st... far better than forest on fire, but its supposed to be summertime now. * grumble, grumble*

June...must be June somewhere. We've been on such a weather rollercoaster. Warm and nice one day, cool the next, then back to warm then back to cool...no snow but rain thrown in for good measure from light to heavy downpours. Holy Hannah! Rollercoaster seems like an understatement. sheesh!

holy moly Figgy ... I agree it is better than fire, but YUCK

sure has been a cold spring here too
it has warmed up enough to put my plants out though ... for now at least.
all my seeds have been planted as well. busy watering every morning so that the will grow and bloom
tons of yard work ... and so, so much more needs to be done. Maybe next year; maybe when I retire

we still haven't had any significant rain. A couple drops this morning, but that is about it. (wasn't even measurable in my rain gauge)

Well, I think Mother Nature is confused. Temps today...nuts. Was 49 when I got up, might get into the low 50s IF we're lucky and plenty of rain today. This is June, right? I wore sandals last week; telling us to pull out the winter jackets for today because of wind chills. Yikes! At least it'll be a little warmer tomorrow, near 80 by the end of the week with a possible thunderstorm thrown in.

btw...Mt. Washington, NH, got 1.3" of snow! And it's sticking! egad!!

Its like Peeves is skipping along, throwing pieces of February at us instead of walking sticks. Could be worse, could be Fred & George thinking up what to do.

There is only one positive note too this 'brisk' weather - it sure beats the heck out of the horrendous heat and drought we had last year.

I hear ya, Ladies. Hasn't been too bad this past week but all of a sudden...heat wave! oy! Yesterday was hot, a bit hazy, and a bit humid; today more of the same, just a couple of degrees cooler. Summer found us...until tomorrow. Monday is supposed to be wet and cool then a gradual warm up the rest of the week. At least it'll be in the 70s until the weekend. Back to hot, hazy, humid...and thunderstorms Saturday. Talk about be careful what you wish for!!

That would remind the Fates and they'd surely send you more snow. Maybe you could paint flowers on it and hang it near the front door thus tricking the Fates will think it is easily useable rather than a decoration - and leave Summer be.

I put mine away and so far, so good. But summer has showed up with a bang. Went from cool and mild to hot, hazy and humid. No happy medium. oy! Maybe I shouldn't have put my snow shovels away...might have kept our weather cool for a while longer. It's like the Fates said "Watch this!" lol!
