Yup. Maine weather in August. Hot, hazy, humid, outrageous dew points...rain, lower dew points, sunshine...repeat. Yah. Sleeping at night is a premium when the 3 Hs hang around. ugh! At least it's nice today with dew points in the 50s, temps in the low 80s, and plenty of sunshine. whew!

Ours hasn't been so bad. We seldom have humidity problems like you get, and while Denver has been having scorching hot days, up here the days have been 70s, occasionally hitting the low '80s. Overnights have been chilly, though. Most of the summer its been in the 50s overnight, and recently its been 40s and even mid-to-high 30s. I think we are going to have a harsher winter this time because the pine cones are super-abundant and falling already.

Starting to get colder. Temps in the mornings mid 30's to low 40s, during the day 50s, maybe 60s if we're lucky. Yup. Fall is here, winter knocking on the door already. Need more time to adjust! lol

The bears are getting into things. They're getting ready to hibernate and always start getting into more trash cans and any apples left on the ground under trees just before they go to sleep for the winter. It seemed like summer until about five minutes ago. Now suddenly the leaves on the deciduous trees have changed color and are falling. It really has seemed like it happened over a day or so - green and shiny, yellow and falling.

My neighbors took a trip to England for four weeks, so its been nice and quite quiet - which I like. I should have had a yard sale, but haven't had time to sort through things and get organized. I did give away a chair and a couple other things in September (it was even a red floral*), but that's like tossing a deck chair off an ocean liner.. I can almost notice the space... almost...

Weather yo-yo here. Chilly for a day or two then warm and pleasant for a day or two then back to chilly. Warm and pleasant around Thursday and Friday then back to chilly Saturday and Sunday. Definitely a yo-yo around here. At least the kids will have nice weather for trick or treating this year. YEA! BOO!

Our town does "Trunk or Treat" at the park - because its sort of rural here even though there's a town, its easier to bring costumed marauders to the park and the people who want to give out candy sign up before hand to be there. Some of the candy givers really get into it and "costume" their cars with all kinds of imaginative Halloween-y stuff. It feels a little safer and the kids who's parents don't want to deal with stuff can just turn their kids loose for an hour without worry. It is sort of a cross between trick-or-treating and a costume parade. It's fun. This years was last Friday (25th).

It was up to 70 Friday, most days more like 60s, but has been hitting freezing overnight. We're supposed to have snow one day next week, but mostly still being warm in daytime... way too warm for this time of year.

I hear ya. Some of the higher elevations have gotten some snow, the rest of us rain and that's okay. We need the rain. Cool until Wednesday and Thursday- back into the 60s and low 70s and cool at night. Then back to seasonal temps in the 50s during the day and either side of 30 at night. Getting to be that time of year. Yah.

We got blasted with a good snowstorm. On the plus side, the County officially lifted the fire ban that's been on since August or so.

I think we will have a real winter this winter. Which I much prefer to the possibility of fires and drought. Remind me I said that in a couple months when I'm whining about it.

Snow Thanksgiving day. Lots of folks sliding off the road. Yup...first snow...everyone forgets how to drive in it. Roads weren't bad Friday morning on the way to work, a lot better on my way home. Now we'll be in the 30s during the day, low teens at night. brrrrrrrrrrr will be an understatement! Getting to be that time of year. Yea.
