ok - there doesn't seem to be any white stuff on the ground ... but that may be due to the nasty winds. Holy Crap it's windy again.

guess the best we can hope for is that it doesn't blow over another train. 8-)

I'm the only one here that actually wants the white stuff, and all I get are thundershowers.

Unpleasantly warm the last few days. Though the rain is to usher cooler temps.

I should know what our normal amount-per-year is, but I don't... and don't ski either. We're considered "semi-arid", I think our average is 18" of moisture per year.

The past couple decades or so we've been having lighter winters than we should. Add in drought conditions, plus its not getting cold enough for long enough so we haven't had a hard winter in a while.(Which has a lot to do with our beetle problems - the little blighters need to have a couple contiguous weeks of sub-zero temps to properly screw up their survival, so we've had too many of them killing trees and have mountain after mountain with huge swaths of dead dry trees.) [In 2003 we were under about half of our usual yearly total (after a couple already sparse years), then over St.Patrick's weekend we got 4ft of snow, and suddenly were over. Ya gotta watch out for those things that happen around St. Patrick's Day. * snorf *]
