If that is the case, then the stretching spell, rather than the replacement spell must have taken control since it is still cold and snowy here. Drat that border crossing! Always interferes!

Woo-Hoo! We win!
Denver set a new "lowest high temp for Nov 11th since they started keeping records".
And is supposed to top (bottom?) that on Wednesday! .... * eye roll * ....

And since it was a balmy 2F/-16C at 6pm here, I went to the grocery store (for kneazle food, of course). When I came toddling out my little car had decided to freeze its ignition. You know how, when you pull the key out it locks the steeringwheel? That, too. Great fun. Of course I had no matches so couldn't heat the key. Tried just body heat, but by the time a key warmed that way made it into the ignition it was too cold to melt the crystals.
Fortunately, as I started to trudge home, a friend gave me a ride - I think I'd walked about half a block, my face hurt, nose hairs frosted, and legs were feeling the chill (I still had half a mile to go, certianly glad Robin stopped!). Son accidentally stopped by - whew! - went down and did his magic on it, brought the little car home. YAY!!
Have I mentioned that until noon on Monday it was "shirtsleeve weather"?

Sorry about your misfortune. Is there any chance your cold is headed east?

Thank goodness you were fortunate to get a ride and your car fixed Figgy!

Congrats on surviving your "win".

I'm thinking, if you didn't get the plants in by now, there's really no rush.

Ah - just as you have been hoping for!
will you be able to measure it with a toothpick, or do I need to send a meter stick (yard stick)?
