Harry Potter Fans With No Life

Tonight there was the hour between Falling Skies and Halt & Catch Fire where there was NOTHING worth expending the electricity on TV. As a last ditch effort I trawled the lesser-watched stations and clicked on "Who Do You Think You Are" to see who was doing research on their ancestors.

It was JKR! A brand new episode!

Boy am I glad there was nothing on!

It was quite interesting. She was in France tracing back on her Mom's side - some of the relatives lead lives that its a wonder we have Harry. Her one Great-times-four grandmother was widowed in her early 30s with 7 kids and no means of earning a living to speak of, in the 1860s.

Never heard of the show. What network were you watching?

very interesting indeed!
I am actually very, very surprised that JKR would be on a show ... she's such a private person. But I do remember something about her dipping into her heritage to see if there was really any Scottish blood in her.
