All I can say is, if you're part Hagrid or part Hermione, check this out:

Their current campaign is Adopt A PygmyPuff :

Charlotte is a purple Pygmypuff, and Tom is a pink one.

Quote:
About Charlotte:
Charlotte was rescued by the Fwooper Foundation when she was found to be living on the streets in Diagon Alley. Her only shelter was an old chocolate frog box and she was eating garbage scraps from the Leaky Cauldron. Because there weren’t enough good homes, Charlotte was forced to fend for herself on the streets. People who breed animals take away homes from animals in shelters and are the reason that animals in shelters are being put down. To find out how you can help ensure animals in our world don’t have to live like Charlotte did, check out our Take Action section!

About Tom:
Tom came to us from a Pygmy Puff breeding mill where he was caged with other Puffs who were bound for a pet store. Tom and his cage mates were denied socialization, exercise, and sometimes veterinary care while they were being sold to stores as a profit-making business. Like Pygmy Puff mills in the wizarding world, muggle puppy mills are dog- and cat-making factories where mothers spend their entire lives in small cages or kennels with little to no human interaction or quality of life. Find out how you can help stop Pygmy Puff and puppy mills by adopting animals from shelters rather than buying them from pet stores.

About Our Campaign

What would happen if Knockturn Alley breeders started breeding their own Pygmy Puffs for profit so quickly that it created a Pygmy Puff overpopulation crisis in the Wizarding World? Imagine that George and Ron have stopped breeding Pygmy Puffs and began taking the homeless Puffs in off the streets and adopting them out to good homes, but it still isn’t enough. That is the kind of parallel we are facing right now in our world with cats and dogs.

Every year 6-8 million cats and dogs enter U.S. shelters and only about 3-4 million of them find good homes, according to a 2014 report by the Humane Society of the United Sates. While Pygmy Puffs may not be real or overpopulating the Wizarding World, using the Puffs’ hypothetical exploitation as an analogy, Harry Potter fans can help the cats and dogs in our world in many ways! One way is to always adopt animals from shelters instead of buying them from pet stores or breeders. Another way to help stop the companion animal overpopulation crisis is to always have your companion animal spayed or neutered.

For more information about the benefits of adopting and how YOU can help stop the companion animal overpopulation crisis, check out our Take Action section!

Interesting.
I think the Fwooper foundation is a great way to get children active in animal awareness. I hope they accomplish getting the word out successfully.

at work, especially at Xmas, we have a choices of charities (shoe box-for impoverished children out of country, Xmas tree foundation-for impoverished children in the community who are likely not to receive gifts; local animal shelter-donations of money, cleaning items or food and one more that I do not remember (oops). There are several work who donate their time at the shelter helping out.
