I find it interesting that they put Voldemort and Grindelwald's wands near the "base" and the Elder Wand (forever the last owner - Dumbledore) as the "centre".

I just took the order to mean that the Elder wand was unbeatable, so it was highest/tallest, kind of a good over evil thing.... and that Dumbledore was central to both groups.
