Many of you will probably remember Hermione and Harry opening what they thought was the real locket of Slytherin only to discover that a person known as RAB had already found the real one and swore to destroy it. The person was obviously Regulus Arcturus Black, former death eater and younger brother of Harry’s godfather Sirius. Regulus went from being a devout follower of the dark lord to then doing a complete 180 and vowing to do all her could to thwart Voldemort’s efforts. So there’s actually 2 things I want to talk about today. The first is how Regulus went from being incredibly loyal to turning his back on the dark lord. The second and obviously the topic of this video, is why his body was never found, never recovered and how long was it before anyone even realised he was missing.

I'm sure all of us have figured out where Regulus' body ended up the first time we read OotP. Kreachur pretty much says what happened in no uncertain terms when he's talking with Harry and Hermione about the locket. didn't I read someplace that RB's parents (or Sirius) knew that Lord V had him killed - or Regulus sacrificed himself (for the greater good)(his parents would be so proud). And if that is the case, then I doubt there would be anyone brave enough to ask Lord V to return his body to the family. (like that is going to happen!) my question is ... if Regulus drank the magical water; got the locket; switched it out with another locket; gave Kreacher the original locket; then was dragged to his death by the inferi ... then who filled the basin with the magical potion?

I thought Voldy created the basin with a Spell on it to continuously refill itself. Kreachur explains what happened to Harry and Hermione. I wonder if he, being a House Elf with House Elf magic, maybe wasn't as affected as the anticipated victims (V always did discount "lesser beings"), and could get around some of the Spells and bad stuff.
