Awesome! I have until December to figure out how I will be able to watch this series. - I really like that they amplify the "Based on the Beloved Books by JK Rowling" - As stated in previous links, there appears to be a lot of attention to detail. Excellent! - One thing I noticed ... an am unsure of if stated in the books (I really must read them again) ... is that Harry's quidditch robe has the # "7" on it. Bonus point since it is JK's mystical number throughout the book series. - there are a LOT of first years in this one - Dumbledore (first glance with that hat) sort of looks similar to a religious leader figure. LOL ... I am sure the actor will be able to accurately portray DD's character in the TV series, simply based on the choice of quirky hat. - is the 'finger/hand explosion' done by Ron after learning Harry is "the" Harry, a current expression among today's younger generation? I am completely unfamiliar with it. At my age it is nearly impossible to keep up with the constantly changing euphemisms of the young. - I noticed that Molly had a lot of gold on her fingers. For such a poor family, I sort of wonder why they would allow this for the series. It is, of course, possible that to further demonstrate poverty, they will show her hocking a few of her rings to pay for necessities ... completely theoretic on my part. -Please, please, please tell me that the Dursley’s escape attempt (re Harry’s letters/Vernon’s breakdown) and the shack on the rocks surrounded by water will be shown. It is such an essential part part of the book, not to mention the exact location when Harry turned 11 years old. Excited! |
