The search function was giving us fits, to be honest with you. We've spent the last six months trying to create a search function that more effectively finds what people are looking for, but we've finally realized we're going to have to essentially write a search system from the ground up with built in artificial intelligence in order to make it work properly. You'd think it would be easy, but we're finding that it really isn't.

So in the meantime, we've created landing pages which greatly simplify searches. When you click on characters, to use your example, then click on more, you will find yourself on a landing page which lists all major characters, including McGonagall. There are also links to many different lists which allow users to zero in on what they're looking for. There's a list of Hogwarts staff, for example, although these lists are still being built by our editors and that particular list is still under construction.

Basically, we're replacing the troublesome artificial intelligence with human curated lists and guides. We'll keep working on the search feature, but in the meantime I hope this will help.
