I think we know what caused the incident. But that shouldn't get in the way of getting someone fired.
Luckily no one was injured, as the yard foreman was riding the cut out at the time.

I did take 19 tracks out of service.*

Someone at work brought in a catalog of trains/slot cars.

As luck would have it, there really is a race car track that incorporated a model train grade crossing.


We were coming up with accessories and options for the set.
Such as a school bus, that when it's hit broadside, the roof opens and all the little children(spring loaded) shoot out the top.
Hitting the fuel tanker and the cement truck, are also very popular.

So - is 19 decommissioned tracks a record?

I just killed the lead at the #2 switch, so access to the other tracks downstream were blocked.
It was back in service by late yesterday afternoon.

well - still hoping it was a record!
