Forest fire started near my brother's home yesterday ... so far, they are safe.

Howler - hopefully the firefighters can get it under control in a hurry to keep everyone safe.

We had one hell of a downpour yesterday afternoon. Got out of work at 2:30, took the bus back to Old Town, started walking home keeping an eye on the clouds, heard thunder (no lightening, thank God)...then wham! Downpour! To say I got drenched is an understatement. Despite the downpour, all of Maine and I think most of New Hampshire are under red flag warnings. Tho my sneakers are still damp, at least I finally dried off. lol.

It's been quite cool here, especially at night (in the 30's the past couple of nights) but hasn't been all that warm during the day because the wind has been a bit nippy but at least it's stayed above 50. The next few days are supposed to be quite warm and I'm so ready for it. Thankfully I'm on annual leave this coming week so I'm hoping to enjoy it!

Was the fire set by his pet dragon?

The fire still is not contained (as far as I know); lots of people were evacuated in the area. Since his home is safe for the time being, he is naturally out with everyone else fighting the fire. Sis-in-law is by the phone waiting for the moment's notice to evacuate, an most likely getting food ready to help feed those who need it. (Paint, hotdogs on a stick to cook over hot ashes is not included)

Where might this fire be located?
I have found quite a few in BC, and some in AB, but none in SK.

How's your brother's today, Howler? (It can't be affected, we're all going to converge on it to have a Potter-fest!)
And while we're at it, how're Hubby's leg and medical appointments?

The fire is in the area of White Fox. I have not heard anything since noon. I will hold "no news is good news" as true since I am having a bugger of a time trying to find out more information. Last I heard is that a helicopter and/or plane was flying over to asses the situation - there may be water bomber planes (not 100% sure though). As long as they are safe, I know I will get the full story at a later date.
