Are the fires getting closer?

Yikes Howler. That can't be doing Hubby any good, either. Hope you two aren't in harms way.

We've had so much rain this month - we're almost 1 1/2 inches above normal. Temp yesterday tied a record...lowest high temp for the day (57). Much better today...actually hit 69 and supposed to be well into the 70s tomorrow.

Had a few rumbles of thunder here today. Rained most of the afternoon. More storms rolling in tonight.

Downstream is bracing for floods.

the smoke haze in the photos is exactly what it looks like right now. It is nasty breathing out there.
and unfortunately the smoke may end up in your area Paint - darn those clippers!

I just can't see the fires getting this far south from La Ronge - it would have to cross the river.
however, it is so dry here, that I think the fumes from a cow's fart could start a fire.

I looked at the weather forecast for Howlerville. It's calling for smoke!

I've never seen anything like this before.

Smoke ... no, really? LOL
but we already have lots ... so no thanks, think I will pass.

wow, Paint, that is a new one...haven't seen smoke forecast before, either. Sunny today, more rain tomorrow, not sure about the rest of the week. And this is summer? Sure doesn't feel like one. But at least the lightening bugs are having a good time...lots of them flashing tonight. Looks like nature's mirror ball out there. lol. Really cool.
