My niece lives outside of Aspen, and she said that they've already had some snow.

thanks Figgy. That would have indeed helped. We ended up with frost, but I don't know how badly they were affected yet.

only going to a high of 14C today

I'm jealous. It got to 84°F(29°C) here today.

Any word on the devastation of the begonia crop, Howler?

Our TV guy said that "for the year" we are a couple inches of moisture ahead of average, but also said at the same time that that is because May and June were so wet. He then said that since the middle of July we've (Denver has) only gotten a quarter of an inch... and went off on fire danger. My no like dry.

Been dry here the last week, and is to continue for the next week.
Actually a good thing, as it's time for the crops to dry before harvest.

Hey folks! Busy week...back for a while, I hope. Been really dry here, too. Little, little rain, temps been hit or miss. Been chilly in the morning but not too bad during the day. A few places have had frost advisories or warnings but not statewide. That'll come soon enough, I'm sure. Supposed to be clear tonight so hopefully I'll be able to see the lunar eclipse tonight!

Harvesting doesn't really get into full swing until October, and can well move into Nov. if the weather is wet.
