Mostly corn and soybeans. Snap beans are done, oats and wheat are mostly in.


Been above normal temp wise. Humidity has been on the rise the last couple of days, though not as oppressive as last month.

Had a wonderful clear sky last night to see an amazing eclipse. A little chilly but not cold, and haven't had to turn on the heat yet, thank goodness. Beautiful today. Sunny, clear, just warm enough for this time of year.

Torrential rains starting sometime tomorrow night, lasting all day Wednesday. That part sucks BUT we seriously need the rain. Been so dry here, too. The trees have barely started turning colors that aren't all that vibrant. A few patches here and there and that's it.

Rain is here. Just "normal" stuff but tomorrow...torrential downpours. Weather guys predicting 3 - 5" of rain. Keep telling myself better than the alternative (a couple of months from now)...30 - 50" of that other crap. So not ready for THAT yet. lol. But we desperately need the rain. Then there's a tropical storm that could bring more this weekend. Guess we'll be getting what we missed this month all this week. Yup. It's Maine.

maybe you should start up a canoe rental service Moo ... by the sounds of it, you may be able to swim / canoe / raft (etc) your way to work soon!
