Good grief... Will the wind ever die down?

uhm ... your area frequently gets winds does it not?
I know our area is often "Chicago" windy
hope it clears up soon .. when they stay strong for such a long time it gets frustrating and annoying. Makes people very grumpy (well, me sometimes anyways)

but those rare days it goes to a calm breeze is so wonderful!

Chicago got that name in reference to its politicians, not the weather.

I'm getting sick of chasing my hat multiple time a day.

lol - politicians? If that is the case, the whole world is rather windy!
I could send you some string - that way you could tie a lovely bow underneath your chin so it would stay on.

maybe the 'not-so-permanent' sticking charm would work

I was thinking of thumb tacks, or spot-welding.

:confusion-seeingstars: guess you won't know how much that hurts until you try.

ok - that reminded me of a funny (true) experience.
years ago when I was working in a shop, a fella came in asking about some product. speaking to him took every ounce of self control to not burst into laughter. The man had a large baby diaper pin attached from his glasses to his baseball cap. (don't remember if it was one side or both sids - no matter)

At the time, I thought it was to hold the arms of his glasses together (maybe the pins had fallen out) ... but now I am not so sure. Maybe it was so that it would keep his hat from falling off. too funny!

Paint - I guess you could always baby diaper pins and connect your hat to your glasses :teasing-neener: it would be much less painful that tacks or welding

I will say one good thing about the wind.

It has brought the humidity levels down.

Made it thru the torrential rains. In my neck of the woods - 5.48" of rain, Daughter Moo's neck of the woods - 10.5" of rain. Luckily she lives part way up a mountain so no problems with flooding for her. We had flooding in spots between Bangor and Old Town but not that bad. The southern part down by Portland got hammered! Lots of folks had to abandon their cars because there was so much water and they got stuck in the middle of it. As far as I know, no one was hurt and damage is being handled. Think we got lucky.

Best news yet...Joaquin is going to miss us. whew.

well, that is good news Moo!
now hopefully the sun will shine and dry up all that water ... or maybe Paint could send some of that wind to help speed up the drying process.
