Still very warm. Sunny and in the low 70's (22°C).

Statements

10:31 AM CST Tuesday 03 November 2015
Special weather statement in effect for:
Swift Current - Herbert - Cabri - Kyle - Lucky Lake

The first taste of winter for parts of the Eastern Prairies.

The first accumulating snow of the season is likely tonight and Wednesday across much of Southern Saskatchewan as a storm system takes shape to the south. Scattered rain showers have spread into portions of Southern Saskatchewan this morning but will steadily transition over to wet snow tonight and continue into Wednesday as colder air wraps in behind this system. Current computer models have backed the rain and snow boundary slightly to the west so extreme southeastern areas of the province may stay as rain into Wednesday morning. With temperatures hovering near the freezing mark, and the ground still relatively warm, snowfall accumulations will be highly variable. Generally, however, the areas above can expect to see 5 to 10 cm total, with the potential for larger amounts in heavier precipitation bands and over higher elevations.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at http://www.weather.gc.ca.

I am hoping it is the same on the roads this morning

I had thick fog half way to work this morn; roads were good though. The white stuff blanketed the fields this am, but now all the white stuff has melted.
