Today/Monday we get a warm-up to a little above seasonal temps (break out the beach toys its gonna be 41F), but windy, and it goes away too soon....

it is still quite chilly here for the next few days, but at least this weekend's deepfreeze seems to have passed.

Has been below 0°F(-18°C) the last couple of nights. Single digits during the day. Plus enough wind to be a factor.

Same here. Going to be quite cold with the wind chill the next few days at least. Yup...winter finally found Maine I think.

ok ... a question for Mr. Weathermaster ...
I am driving along a straight stretch of the highway and the wind is blowing sxxw across the highway in a north-east direction. A couple of miles ahead, on the same straight stretch of highway, the sxxw is now crossing the road in a south-east direction. (the wind can't possibly change directions that fast).

how the heck does that happen?

Mother Nature got into one hell of a sneezing fit?

Looks like the nor'easter isn't going to find us this weekend. Might get a little if any. Could change again by Friday so we'll see.

Could be magic. :teasing-neener:

Or maybe the upper winds created a vorticity that caused the surface winds to blow in a different direction than the prevailing winds.
But I'm going with magic. :P
