Cormoran Strike series/Robert Galbraith, Cursed Child, Fantastic Beasts Movie, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, J.K. Rowling, News
Back in 2007, J.K. Rowling told us about a very intriguing new project – a ‘political fairytale’ that has yet to see the light of day:

However, this morning a fan asked her about this project, and it appears that Jo may have given up on it – for now!

We can imagine how busy she must be, leading the double life of bestsellers Rowling / Galbraith, writing new wizarding world stories, leading the script for Fantastic Beasts and overseeing Cursed Child.
Speaking of Fantastic Beasts, Rowling also told us that she’d be watching a first cut of the film yesterday, reminding us just how close the release date really is! Well, that is if you’re patient enough to call November close…

Thanks to Hypable for the heads up!
And SnitchSeeker backed it up with extended Twitter captures.

Post J.K. Rowling comments on non-published children's book, Cormoran Strike's future
A few years back, J.K. Rowling said that some of her post-Harry Potter stories included a couple of children's tales, and one with a more political theme. This weekend, the author took to Twitter to reveal that the story has now been scrapped, unfortunately.
{Twitter comments about the shelved project- 3/19/2016}
This is what Rowling said nearly four years ago regarding the children's book:
Quote:
"I have a lot of things on my laptop currently, including a couple of things for children - for a slightly younger age group than Harry Potter was aimed at - which are nearly done and will, I think, be the next thing I publish. I have run them by my children and they seem to like them which is always a good sign.
"I also have some ideas for another book for adults but it isn't too far on [in development]."
She also gave a few teasers about what's to come in the future Cormoran Strike mystery novels, post Career of Evil. As of yet, there is no word on when the fourth installment of the series will be released, or what it will be called.
