Harry Potter Fans With No Life

It was quite warm here today before the front came through, I think 65-ish F (18-ish C). I didn't wear any sort of coat until it started precipitating. There are many gorgeous fully-in-flower trees in Denver where I was earlier....

It was funky enough weather in the late afternoon that long stretches of I-70 were shut down. Vail Pass and Georgetown to the Continental Divide were closed, but I'm east of there so tried to go home on the highway. 'Got to sit about five miles from home when they shut a stretch east of where I live (sat there contemplating if the car would "Jeep" it over some of the terrain to the side of the big road, - to get onto one of the local roads that was open - without breaking an axle, but chickened out on doing that). Left Denver around 5pm, got home after 7pm, normally that's about 45 mins.

Well... At least someone is having fun.

Wet the first part of the week, beautiful the rest of the week except one thing. Darned winds from the north made it rather chilly and sometimes downright cold. blah! At least it's been sunny all week. Beautiful today (and yes wind), better tomorrow (less wind), temps in the mid 60's! So looking forward to it.

Figgy - glad you made it home and didn't get stuck in your car overnight. Our local weather showed some of the mess hitting your neck of the woods - ew. I think Paint might want to visit your neck of the woods; I think he's getting similar weather we have here.

My new hobby is clearing snow.

Anyone know any good removal Spells? I've tried Reducto, but it just fluffs it up and then it settles again.

WAY too warn here for this time of year. Forecast to get into the lower 80'sF(27°C) today.


Figgy, I'll trade your snow for my heat.

Its unusual to get that much, or this late in the season (a couple of the resorts have already closed).

It was in the 60sF/15-18C before the front came through on Friday, snowed like a bear for 36hrs, then today/Sunday it warmed enough that any area that was shoveled or plowed melted off to being able to see the concrete/blacktop. It was knee deep in those places when I shoveled at 12:30am last night.

You are so thoughtful Figgy! Well - if Paint can't walk or roll in it, at least he can always come back here and 'see' it any time he wants. Maybe even save the pic for a screen saver ...

Again another example that there just isn't any justice in the world.

Been nice here the past few days. Luckily the temps were a little higher than predicted for a change - either side of 70! Winds have been behaving...breezy but not windy as hell. Been nice being able to go outside WITHOUT a jacket. But we're supposed to have a wintry mix Tuesday, clearing sometime late in the day. Oh joy. Haven't put the winter gear away yet...this has been known to happen up here, sometimes into the first part of May. Sorry Paint, no snow like what Figgy got.

We got a skiff of the white stuff early this morning; more expected throughout the day. Same for tomorrow and Tuesday. thank goodness it is mostly melting as it hits the pavement.
