Steady seasonal temps. today. Breezy and rain all day.


I won't be able to enjoy it though, Gotta be at work.

The weather guys have been predicting the same "foot or two" of snow as last weekend, and so far its been about an inch or two, melting as fast as it came down... I can see green in my yard... the pavements are only wet, not white... Many of the resorts are already closed, so guess its to be expected.

Only snow showers last week, sticking to lawns and bushes, wet roads. Lasted only a couple of hours. Sun came out, dried most of my neck of the woods, cold during the night and luckily no black ice to deal with for me. Decent weather all week tho a bit chilly, sun and clouds. Beautiful again this weekend. But we really need a good soaking rain. Fire danger wicked high here; been a lot of brush fires lately but nothing major, thank goodness. Supposed to have rain tonight into tomorrow and again Thursday into Friday. Hope it's enough.

our area is a huge fire danger zone too Moo. We've got nothing but spit for moisture last week. In another 10 days the farmers will be crying!

I sure hope we don't have a repeat from last year ... no rain until after July 20th; then 7" within a week.

How is the Alberta fire affecting you, Howler?

the haze has not hit us yet Figgy. I am hoping that the high winds from yesterday will help keep the smoke from our area - time will tell. It is such a massive & dreadful fire!

well, the winds worked to some point. A lot of the smoke is drifting East. It also started moving in to our area this afternoon - but we only have a slight haze right now so not too bad.
