It seems to be much colder here overnights than is appropriate for this time of year. I've really been enjoying the "Summertime" in the daylight hours, but it keeps dropping down into the mid to low forties F (5 to 7 C) at night. We haven't had a year with that sort of weather for a couple decades. Usually nights are welcome releif from the heat-of-the-day, rather than the I-need-a-jacket-just-to-let-the-dog-out. The furnace keeps coming on in the middle of the night (and sometimes I wonder why it took it so long to decide it needed to!).

* grumble, grumble, grumble *

In the interest of sparing your poor furnace, you could send the cooler (and hopefully drier) air this way.

Although our evenings haven't been quite as cool as yours Figgy, here too the overnight temps are rather low. A strange year, to be sure!

Maybe it will warm up in Sept, Oct ... :mrgreen:

And here, the nights have been rather warm.

Good for the corn... But not so good for sleeping.

A little cooler today, but the heat returns for the next week.
Still humid.

waiting to see if we get hit or get missed ... last storm was a miss (we only got misty dribbles of rain, not the torrents they got south of me)

Rather nice until mid/late afternoon. Started to get warm.

Heat on the way back.

Well, have had nice weather, muggy weather, rainy weather, windy but no wicked thunderstorms over my neck of the woods. Been really cool the past few days...only in the low 60's. Rained yesterday, raining today and it's all good. Need it badly. Supposed to be back to hot and baking and muggy during the week and 60ish at night. Sleep will be a premium if at all. Supposed to be in the 90s Wednesday and no more rain until maybe Friday afternoon. Yippee skippee yahoo.
