You REALLY didn't have to share, Howler.
We're on the lower edge of the same weather system, and while not as cold as you're getting (only down to 2F/-17C) its still not particularly pleasant.
[And I just realized I have no back-up system for heat if the electric goes out. The furnace is gas, but has an electric blower and the stove is electric. Hopefully the wires will hold ok for now and I can figure a portable to have sitting in the closet, just in case.] It was light jacket weather 40F / 4.4C this afternoon before the front came through.
I ran down to Denver to get some good produce and a few other items. It began s***ing around 3pm, after some indecisive rain fell for a bit. By the time I was headed home it wasn't all that bad of driving, but as I carried stuff into the the house the s*** got fairly serious. In about 15 minutes time I had swept an inch off the walkways, started carrying stuff into the house, and the sloppy wet stuff (unusual for here, we have "powder" not wet s***s) soaked through the shoulders of my coat, plus left 1/4-1/2 inch where I'd just cleared... 3-4" out there now.
