There are a few places that have done what is necessary for cessation. Unfortunately our town wasn't one of them.
Are the laws in each state different; or the laws different in our countries. Curious, because I believe the railways have their own gov't & laws so to speak.
woefully ignorant about it I'm afraid.

Cities can create horn bans. Don't know what is required prior to enactment. I'm thinking things like double gates and such.

Interesting side note: Take a look at the top of the engines as a train passes. You will most likely see the horn set facing to the rear.

And the reason for that would be?

Regulatory response.

Looks like the tolerable weather is over for a while.
Hot humid and thunderstorms this afternoon.

ugh - sorry to hear that paint

today is going to be warm and sunny, but after that most likely rain, rain, rain. At least the temps will be cooler though.

How in the world does it rain there with a -1.3C dew point?

(re rain ~ Probably Ron or Seamus were in Flitwick's class absentmindedly waiving their wands again.)

I really can't complain about the rains we've had over the last week.
They have been the slow gentle type that soak in really well.

Didn't get the thunderstorms predicted. Didn't get rain at all today.
Rather strange, so I went to a weather site, and any rain had been removed from the forecast.
I suspect some wand waving has been going on.

Rain today, rain tomorrow, letting up sometime Saturday. And that's okay. Need it. At least it won't be flooding, as far as we know for now. Temps in the high 50's to low 60's tho. Oh well. We'll be complaining in a month because it'll be hot AND humid AND no rain in sight. Bummer.
