Been there, had that. Still February with March to go plus April for good measure; have a feeling winter will come back with a vengeance. Hoping my driveway melts before then. Still have ice that is refusing to go, no matter how much I treat it. humph...

Driveway melted (yea!) but 2 to 4 inches of snow coming today along with some sleet and rain then temps in the 40s most of the week and partly sunny; good time to get the car washed. Friday when we might get more snow but a bit too early to really tell yet.

March is predicted to come in like a LION.
We have been issued a High Wind (50-70k), Heavy Snow, and near Zero visibility warning/advisory for later today and all of tomorrow.

:angry-tappingfoot:
looks like this nasty weather may be around for a few more days ... yuck!
appears we are getting a double whammy - todays system is currently upon us ... second system moves in late tomorrow
Figgy - get out that wand of yours and try to move this system away from my area ok
Quote:
A complex weather system will bring around 10 cm of snow to parts of southern Saskatchewan today. This first band of snow will push out of the province later today.

A Colorado Low is expected to push into the Canadian Prairies beginning late Sunday. This system will likely bring extreme winter weather to parts of southern Saskatchewan Sunday night and through Monday.

Colorado lows can be notoriously difficult to forecast in general and there is an unusually high degree of uncertainty with this particular weather system. It will still be some time before the weather intensity and the exact area of its greatest impact can be predicted with confidence.

However, total snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm are possible. Periods of poor visibilities in blowing snow will also affect travel Monday and Tuesday and prolonged blizzard conditions may occur.

Only got freezing drizzle Friday morning; made the commute to work a little slick but not too bad. And lots of wind. Didn't lose power. Southern part of the state got some wintry mix but the coastal areas are dealing with flooding due to astronomical high tides. Later today is supposed to be better regarding the tides. Not as windy today. The fun part of this week...a nor'easter Wednesday afternoon into Thursday, may not leave until early Friday. We're in a watch-and-see mode for now. Not looking too good at the moment.

March is indeed a Lion ... which means Easter will be a lamb (great - because family will be driving down to my place at that time and I want them safe)

Yup - old cliché "...in like a lion, out like lamb..." and vice versa. Hopefully they'll have beautiful weather on their way to your place. Folks forget technically it's still winter. Looks like we may get 6+ inches of snow starting Wednesday. Almost put the shovel away.

Well, we're now under a winter weather advisory - 10 to 18 inches of snow starting Wednesday night, all day Thursday, ending sometime early Friday. Will probably be under a winter storm warning sometime tomorrow or early Wednesday, I'm sure. Lots of blowing and drifting. I'm pretty sure snow day Thursday and hoping for at least a delayed opening Friday, depending on when I finally get plowed out.

good luck Moo!
we ended up with a lot of the white stuff - it was up to the bumper of my suv; had a heck of a time trying to get out of the driveway (only had time to shovel to the snowblower so that a friend could clear the driveway while I was at work); got hung up/stuck on the huge mound that the grader left in front of the yard. Roads were plowed but still crappy; and pure ice on the way home.

I told everyone that I was hoping that all the snow would be melted by the weekend and that by the 15th everyone would be mowing their lawns. Guess if I am going to dream, it may as well be big right. hahaha
