Know how you feel. We got quite used to our taste of spring with temps either side of 40. We were hoping but alas.

The snow mounds at the end of the driveway are usually pretty bad. I clear out enough of my driveway behind my car enough so the plow guy can clear the rest and I can back out to get out of his way. Just hoping the end of the road gets treated well enough so the poor school bus doesn't get stuck again in case school isn't cancelled Friday.

I reminded folks it's still winter, this is Maine, and we still have March and April to deal with yet. lol. Well, we're now under a winter storm warning. No surprise there. And snow predictions - 10 to 18 inches, heavy wet stuff, starting sometime tomorrow evening and sticking around until sometime early Friday. Not sure I'll make it to work at all Friday...busy cleaning up.

Yup. It's winter. It's Maine. We still have March and April to deal with. Yup.

lol - it is 400 ft from the street to my garage. Not sure who built this old house, but they sure didn't think that a small one-car garage should be anywhere near the street. And I can't even move it. It was built 1 ft from the property line so is grandfathered in. The bylaws now state 5 or 6 ft from the property line.

Cute. I'm glad I only have 1/4 of an acre to deal with, my driveway is 20' wide, 30' long, which stops at the sidewalk. Enough for me.

Oh...btw...snow day tomorrow!

Well, it looks to be about 10 inches but southern Maine got hammered. Some places got around 20 inches so far. Don't know what the mountains got. Just snow showers now. Hoping the roads aren't too bad in the morning when I go to work.

I'm enough farther south of you guys that there is little snow left unless its in the shade of a building, and its comfortable to go outside with just a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket as long as the sun's up. It smells like "Spring", too. There's supposed to be snow as a cold front goes through this weekend, but nothing like what you've been dealing with. The downside of all this mild weather is that fire danger is high and our drought maps are showing our basin below 3/4 of what it should be. Some of the other parts of the state are lower than that.
After the weekend front its supposed to go right back up to shirtsleeve weather.

Roads in Old Town and the interstate out of Old Town sucked big time this morning. Finally improved just outside of Bangor then the rest of the drive was okay. One of my co-workers who also lives in Old Town got stuck in traffic this morning on the interstate. Two cars slid off the interstate, traffic stopped to let the wreckers in to pull them out.

A LOT better this afternoon on the way home. And my driveway was thawed out! Nice...no extra cleanup when I got home. Just nuisance stuff this weekend but no more springtime for now. And this is turn back the clocks weekend. Yippee...winter is back and lose an hour of sleep. Oh joy.

Well, we still have plenty of the white stuff. yuck. Oh well, if it warms up (IF-because it has still been nasty cold the last little while) then hopefully it will be all gone within 3 or 4 weeks.

I am so glad that I live where there is no daylight savings time!!

Still white everywhere here, too. At least the mess we just got didn't last long in my driveway, thank goodness. And guess what? Another nor'easter coming Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning. Oh joy. Several inches expected, don't know how much but definitely plowable. Yippee. Reminder to self...still winter, still Maine, still March and April to deal with...yup.
