Well, the entire state is now under a winter storm watch. Probably be under a warning sometime tomorrow. Oh joy.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Caribou ME
313 PM EDT Sun Mar 11 2018

...Another noreaster like storm expected Tuesday through Wednesday...

Another strong storm from the southeast states will bring snow beginning over Downeast and highland areas Tuesday morning and spreading into far Northern Maine by late Tuesday afternoon. None of us have a wood stove. So far, no major power outages since the October wind storm.

And we're officially under a winter storm warning.

Well, never lost power so that was good but we did wind up with 21 inches of snow. So glad I don't have to shovel! But I did have to unbury my poor car. At least it wasn't the heavy wet snow like the last one but double what the last storm dumped on us. btw...brings the total of snowfall so far this winter to 107 inches of snow.

Now we may be getting another storm Tuesday or Wednesday. Not supposed to dump on us like the last one but definitely plowable and several inches. Keeping an eye on the weather. sheesh...

You guys are getting all our snow!

The latest TV news maps here show us now at 68% of average. We were in drought conditions for a few years, last year and the year before to some extent, pulled us out of "drought", but they are saying if we don't get a good dump-a-ton snow before the end of April we're going to be classified as "drought" again. We are already having problems with fires out on the flatlands and in the first layer of foothills.

that is a lot of snow Moo.
we got some freezing rain yesterday. How the heck it can rain when our temps are below zero is beyond comprehension.

Howler, I think your weather has been as nuts as ours. We've had freezing drizzle and rain when temps have been below freezing. Not cold enough to turn to snow but cold enough to make crystals. Go figure.

Looks like the coming storm (now due Thursday) won't be a direct hit but of course, still have to keep an eye on it. I'd love to send it Figgy's way but Mother Nature is content to do things her way, darn it. For the next few days, single digit temps in the morning, blustering winds and cold, temps be lucky to get close to 20 and wind chills below zero to start. Definitely not normal.

Friday night is started to rain, then it turned to snow. Woke up to about 3" of the wet heavy stuff. So glad I didn't have to drive on the crappy roads Sat morning! The afternoon warmed up to about 45F ... yay. now if it will only continue with that warming trend.
