Got to use my new umbrella Friday...rain in the morning. Been either side of 90 with dew points to go with it. On and off rain showers so far this morning but supposed to have low dew points tonight! Relief! Yea! Temps in the 80s but the next few days...no muggies.

Remnants of Barry are might nail us Wednesday and Thursday, temps upper 80s to low 90s and muggy, muggy, muggy. Yuck. Have to wait and see.

Wow - what great weekend weather we had
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday were gorgeous (Monday a tad warmish, but I would rather complain about plus 31 than minus 31)

Ours is going to Fall... Have I mentioned that Fall is my least favourite time of year? Leaves turning... getting almost down to freezing overnight.

Yup, it is that time of here as well. We had another gorgeous weekend; but after today the temps plummet. We are even expecting "S***" for next weekend. Gag!

I think one of the reasons I love autumn so much, is because every leaf becomes like a flower. Then the trees sleep; and all returns in the spring. All the plants need their rest, since they have displayed their beauty for months and months.

Yup. Fall is definitely almost here. Leaves are turning color a little bit and falling off the trees, first frost warning tonight, and a heat wave is anything around 60 something! lol. Figgy - heard a rumor that the some higher elevations in your neck of the woods and a few other states might be getting s**w, up to 50" already! Too early.

We were in a full fledged blizzard yesterday. I think southern Alberta fared worse than us with areas getting up to 4 ft of the white stuff. All the reports haven't come in yet, but we got LOTS of the crap!!!! Got to dig my way out this morning ... then wait for the roads to clear before I can get to work. Hope my summer tires are ready for the day!

and the white stuff is still falling ... YUCK!!!!!

We dodged the bullet - this time... all of it went north to Howler. But tonight may be the first freeze, depending where in the state one is...

Have I mentioned that Fall is my least favourite time of year?

H-
I don't have summer tires. I get winter ones, and just drive on 'em until the next set. In the non-climate -change years. it could sneak up on us here any time of year. (Remembering the 4th of July I was watching fireworks while wearing my down coat and mumbling about being too cold.)

I understand that Figgy. When you live in the mountains, the weather can change in a second. I usually don't put my winter tires on until November ... reminds me, I should book my appointment soon! Winter tires are just way too soft to run on in the summer here.

I am hoping all this white stuff has melted by the weekend. I think we got nearly 3-ft but still haven't heard any of the reports.

Stay safe on the roads, Howler. First snow folks forget how to drive in it...become rather accident prone. I can run all weather tires here and works just fine. Lots of folks with cars do put on winter tires as regular tires don't usually give them a lot of grip in snow and ice. Here you can't put them on until I think October 15 and I think they have to be off by May 15. Figgy, we have a saying here...don't like the weather in Maine, wait 5 minutes; it'll change.

No white crap in my neck of the woods but we had our first freeze warning last night. Had to turn the heat on Tuesday; been 30ish in the mornings and not that warm during the day. Too early! Having my furnace serviced tomorrow morning. Oh...mountains here did get an inch or two yesterday morning. Luckily it stayed in the mountains. A lot of rain forecast for this week. That means beware the wet leaves - can make things a bit slick.
