I like the idea of cutting it down. Do you have a chain saw? Cut it into brick-sized pieces so they'd be manageable to move. (Maybe build a snow fence/wall with 'em so you don't have the drift come back as high? ... or your own ice castle... or a photographer's blind...) Even better, "Tom Sawyer" your kids/the sturdy young cowboy down the road/anybody else into doing it!

We're getting the wind. Today the official Theys shut down I-70 and discouraged travel until tomorrow, due to blizzard conditions. Its the start of Martin Luther King, Jr. 3-day weekend holiday - one of the super-busy times at the ski places. The traffic tomorrow will be insane.

I don't know how anyone can afford to ski anymore anyway, but the brain-damage of trying to get there/home on I-70 would prevent me from doing it...

Rain ... seriously Paint ... why do you get so lucky to get the warm weather!!


by Monday it is suppose to be -1; by Tuesday +1 ... how bizarre is that? 40 degree change in less than 24 hours!

Temps have begun to drop like a rock. Plus wind (I like it).
Not scheduled to get above freezing again until the middle of the week.

Been wicked cold here but not like what Howler's gotten. Got about 4" of snow Thursday, at least another 6" last night into this morning. Getting ready to clean off my car so I can move my car when the plow guy comes by. More cold weather (-5ish in the morning, maybe low teens during the day) then warming up by the end of the week. And might be getting another storm next weekend. Yup...winter in Maine...wait 5 minutes, it'll change. yah.
