Breckenridge has had 300 inches of snow so far this year (that's 25 feet for the calculator challenged). March is our snowiest month.

Is that in the normal range?

We've had drought conditions for a while, so not for those years, but normal is 366" (and there's still a lot of winter to catch up to that).

The only part of our world that gets those kind of snow falls each year is in the mountains in BC. Ugh! They can even get snow in the summer due to the elevations. Can't imagine living in those conditions Figgy.

Its really pretty.
(There's also the possibility that people who live at altitude are so oxygen deprived that we don't know what we're doing...)

Whistler-Blackcomb is World Class for Winter Sports! We are, too.
Most of the time summer here is warm, but since I've been in this county one Fourth of July I watched fireworks while wearing my winter down coat... only made through half the show before I decided it was stupid to stand out in the cold to look at lights in the sky.

It's really pretty here.

Figgy - the beauty of where you live is likely undeniable! Going to visit you ... I may not even wait until I am retired (maybe).

On Sunday the Weather Service was calling for a foot of snow. By the time it ended... a bit over an inch.
