Hotel offers Harry Potter-themed rooms in London

A hotel is offering Harry Potter-themed rooms to fans of the book and film series staying in London

The Georgian House Hotel has given some of its rooms a gothic feel so guests can pretend they are spending a night in Hogwarts.

There are two "Wizard Chamber" bedrooms that come with a four-poster, "Muggle-size" bed; potion bottles; cauldrons and other themed accessories.

The rooms are available as part of a package that includes a "Muggle walking tour" of London, which takes in filming locations and various places that inspired J.K. Rowling.

It is also possible to combine a stay with a Harry Potter studio tour. Guests can take a Harry Potter tour bus from Victoria Station to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter on the outskirts of Watford.

The studio has recently opened a new section, dedicated to the "Dark Arts", of which the centrepiece is the restored Malfoy Manor, which became the headquarters for Voldemort and his death eaters in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It features the eerily realistic, suspended body of Muggle studies teacher Charity Burbage and a replica of Voldemort’s pet snake Nagini advancing towards her.

Breakfast is included (guests should expect baked beans as opposed to bogey-flavoured Bertie Botts beans, the hotel website quips).

A package that includes one night's b&b in the Wizard Chambers and a Muggle tour costs £249 for two adults (add an extra £60 for a child), or £363 for two with tickets for the Warner Brothers Studio Tour included (add an extra £112 for a child).

A night’s stay in the chambers without a tour costs £209 for two people on a b&b basis, with an additional £20 for a child.

The Georgian House Hotel (georgianhousehotel.co.uk) also offers a variety of other rooms and apartments in the vicinity of Victoria Station.

p.s. this article has now been published with a few online news carriers. If you google it, you may find even more info, plus quite possibly US or Cnd $ conversion.

Thanks for the info, but I doubt I'll ever make it to London.
Does seem to be a bit pricey.
