It really, really would have been wonderful if Harry's eyes could have been green, especially since the author states that HBO advertises the series to be book accurate. Harry's eyes are a significant part of the entire book series.
His scar ... it would also have been better to be book accurate, however, there could have been 'hair' and/or 'visibility' conditions that made this option unviable. As long as it is lightening shaped and on his forehead, it matters not to me.
House robe colors: I fully understand the decision to visually distinguish students by their robe colors. In the books, we know who is who, and what their house is. The visual distinction is necessary when applying books to 'visual' media.
Vernon: hmmm ... maybe they will start making him wear a fat suit??? I do not remember if the books stated that Vernon did not wear glasses. (will have to look it up)
Honestly, I could care less about the 'color' themed concern described by the author
