"N.E.W.T.s" is the Wizard equivalent of Muggles' 'texting phrases'. There is a Spell to post it using your wand. Its a warning the students leave for the next class - "Next Exam Will Traumatize" (though some smart-Alec Ravenclaw with a penchant similar to Hermione's claims it means "Now Expect Wonderful Things!").
