Anyone who embroidered an entry onto the tapestry was required to sign (via emboidery) in the lower right corner of the tapestry. After a few centuries the entire right side became a column of names.

Wartcap is a type of hair net used for beards (while sleeping). Dumbledore had several of them in his bed stand drawer.
