Nice here too.

Beginning of the grass/brush/field fire season... Oh Joy!
The dry weather is good for the farmers this time of year, but can be a nightmare for us.

How many fires have you had to respond to Paint?
(I think the farmers have been doing the very same thing here too ... got to burn that flax straw).

After things dried out last week, activity began to increase.
I really haven't kept track, but we also respond quite often to neighboring communities on calls like this.
We can go for a couple of days without one, or have five. Of course just one can last most of the day.

still a bit of xxxx on the ground (in ditches and fields) but most is gone from the highway.

Got up to 80F today. Quite a bit above normal. Too warm for my comfort level.
A bit of rain and cooler temps. on the way.

We're supposed to get xxxx this weekend tho it's not supposed to amount to much of anything in my neck of the woods but the moutains might get quite a bit. A beginning for the ski resorts maybe? As long as it stays there...for now...

We already have one ski place open here. (Arapaho Basin) A-Basin, highest in altitude, currently only about half real half man-made and only a couple of its runs.

I've been trying not to hex it, but Denver's been doing record high temps. Its been quite nice for the whole month of October. As of today everything is going to "more seasonal", but it sure was fun while it lasted.

*dreams* wouldn't it be wonderful if October could repeat itself in both November and December ...

today's roads are described as "wet, subject to freezing" ... but at least the visibility is good.

The 27C of yesterday may not return for some months.
Dropping temp. all day, though no rain.
