Okay.

Well, Mother Nature turned on the air conditioning yesterday and thankfully not today tho it was cold. Now just waiting on that crap that's beating up the south...supposed to get 8 - 14 inches of snow and looks like we'll get some mixing to go with it. Wonderful. Peachy. Just peachy. Would much rather have just the snow and only the snow. With any luck...another snow day Friday just to dig out.

Well we got about 5-6" of snow and now we are getting freezing rain in northern NC. I hear a lot of people have lost power, but we aren't among them (although my husband wouldn't mind, gives him an excuse to use the huge generator he got). Spent an hour or so knocking snow off of canopies over boats and wood piles, etc. Really fun part, I had just gotten out of the shower when it dawned on me that we should do that lest the canopies collapse. So there I was, in my pj's with wet hair, boots, coat and stupidly no gloves with a broom shoving the bottom of the canopies to knock the snow off. I am going to be so sore in the morning.

Then maybe send them up to Moo, after they take care of NC.

I'll take them and keep them The more critters the better. I just added to my mouse family yesterday. Caught a little one in a live capture trap, and with the bad weather coming, I didn't have the heart to release him to have to find a nest before it hit. So I added him to my three I already have (caught in the same manner). Last night was a pain in the ass trying to sleep. I felt a sinus headache coming on so I took some Pseudophed (I know it's spelled wrong) which hypes me up, then the power kept glitching causing things to beep loudly and then the mice were establishing the pecking order with lots of scrambling and squeeking involved. I hope to sleep better tonight.

Anyhoo, we're used to dealing with the crap that rhaben got. We got it here but there wasn't very many power outages. More snow coming in tonight...another 10+ inches but at least this time it's all snow. At least shoveling will be a bit easier than yesterday. btw...no snow day yesterday. Delayed opening...had to be in at noon. Sucked.

I feel for you Moo. I grew up in an area that got snow fairly regularly. Down here in NC, they don't know what to do with it. But the weather is warming up already. Later this week it is supposed to get to 70 degrees. I noticed that the trees are starting to look fuzzy around here, so spring in NC is on the way.
