Statement as of 3:56 AM CST on January 05, 2015


...Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST this morning... ...Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am CST Tuesday...

For the Wind Chill Advisory...
* timing...until 10 am this morning.
* Wind chill values...around 20 below to 26 below zero.
* Main impact...frostbite can occur within 20 minutes under these conditions.

For the Winter Storm Warning...
* timing...6 PM this evening until 6 am Tuesday morning.
* Snow accumulations...5 to 7 inches.

Made it thru all that below zero mess we've had all week. Thursday was the worse...enter choice swear words here. Luckily the snow we've gotten hasn't amounted to a lot - a few inches here and there - and it's been all fluff, none of that wet, heavy crap that sucks to shovel. Sunshile all day today, warmed up my house rather nicely...helps save the heating oil use (down to just over 1/4 of a tank). Good thing prices aren't high right now.
