lol - haven't seen the commercial; pity!
Last couple days here have been pretty crappy - between snow and ice and winds and very low temps (wind chill took us to -40). So glad it is Saturday and that I do not have any intentions of going anywhere today!

Quite the temp. drop here as well.

The local weather guy said that the last time we had a winter like this (1936),
the summer was unusually hot.

Not forecast to get above freezing until the weekend. Then ice and snow.

... Winter Storm Warning in effect until 6 am MST Thursday...

* timing... snow will be heavy at times through this evening. The
snow is expected to decrease in intensity overnight. Some light
snow will likely linger into Thursday.
* Snow accumulations... 6 to 12 inches by Thursday morning.
Heaviest totals in the foothills of Boulder and Jefferson
counties.
* Wind/visibility... northeast winds at 10 to 20 mph.
Visibilities under a quarter mile can be anticipated in the
heavier snow showers.
* Impacts... travel will quickly become difficult this afternoon
due to snow covered roads and poor visibilities.

Once again, the Figg's-burg foothills feel the frost drifting in...
