it has been a very cool spring around here too Figgy. Thankfully, we have not got your snnn-fall.

What a crappy time of year to get it! You got pretty much bupkis all winter and now when the flowers are trying to bloom, it decides to fall in bucket loads! What a rotten May it has been for you!

* grumble, grumble, grumble * I still have to repeat "the Party line" and say, "but we can use the moisture"... as I sip tea and feel cold and damp.

Not quite that cool here (I so envy you) But about 30° cooler than normal.

Warming to continue, Oh joy!

We are getting all sorts of news reports about campgrounds and roads being closed for the Memorial Day Weekend due to chilly precipitation. Arapahoe Basin (which "cool" people call A-Basin) is the only ski area still open (its also the highest with the most severe topography), and they are reporting seven feet of new snow since mid-April. (Last year A-Basin was open until July.) So - I guess the start of Summer means everyone should ski Black Diamond runs.

Meanwhile, at my house, we had spits and spots of sun between the clouds today. It is quite odd for Colorado to have more than a day or two in a row that's cloudy, and VERY unusual for it to do a month's worth of rain in a day or two (we've had most of May doing that). The San Luis Valley (south central part of Colorado) claims to have 360 days of sun per year, with the Front Range being a bit less optimistic, but generally sunny and nice.

been sunny and average temps here. Some are complaining about the lack of heat, but it suits me just fine. We could do with some rain though, she's pretty dry here.
