We've had the usual summer storms...sun comes out, bakes everything, the humidity goes up...rains like hell...repeat. Temps today were only in the 60s! At least the dew points came down. By midweek...back up to near 90 with the high dew points to go with it. Our weather is a damned yoyo.

Know what that's like Moo! Even in the 60's, if the dew point is high, it will be uncomfortably clammy.
Rain was taken out of the forecast here. Lets hope it's cooler as well.

The first signs that summer will end has arrived. The Locusts (Cicadas) have begun their evening concerts.

Rain today and mid 60s if we're lucky. Haven't heard the buzzers yet so I think we have a little more summer left. Usually hear them in August which is just around the corner...yikes! Going by too fast for my liking.

It clouded up and there is rain on the way. Sprinkling now.
So much for the professionals...

the grasshoppers are getting big here too; but it is when the crickets start chirping that signals the slide of summer.

(it was scorching hot in northern SK this weekend- we were all too tired to do anything)

rain/lightning/thunder storm suppose to roll in tonight - temps are suppose to drop to reasonable highs

Is the heat up north going to increase the fire danger, or has everything been consumed?

no smoke where I was ... I think they have the biggest fire (more or less) under control. The north has had some rains to help with that
