it certainly felt like the hut on the rock! And we got about 4" of rain
I am thankful that we did not get the tornados that Manitoba got.

There were wind gusts this morning that made me wonder if my car was going to get flipped and land in some field. yikes! (and my car is not a tiny little light vehicle)

there is tree damage around town. Haven't done the town tour, but noticed lots of big branches on a couple streets. If there is more damage, I am not as yet aware of it.

Glad you didn't get washed away with all that torrential rain! Hope the damage stays to what you've seen so far - doesn't get any worse.

Icky sticky here, too - dew points 70 something. This morning was fun. Thunder and lightening woke me up just before my alarm went off. No problem. Went about my usual routine. Went to the kitchen, got my coffee, started making my lunch - HUGE clap of thunder...sounded like it was right outside my kitchen window! Made me jump...my cousin posted on FB that it made him jump thru his ceiling lol. Now, remember I was making lunch...a slice of bread in my left hand, a knife with peanut butter in my right...then the thunder just as I was spreading the peanut butter on the bread...fastest I've ever done that! lol.

it went on and off during the night and early morning - we were not without power for any significant amount of time.

Is it your horse? :shifty:

Late this morning, the dew point began to drop. It's still warm, but with the lower humidity, life is much more bearable.

In a few minutes it will be ... well, technically, there will be two horses, and neither are mine. They belong to hubby and his friend. They got to get them Purdy for the parade this weekend.

more rain heading this way - don't think it is going to be too much of a downpour thank goodness.
7' of rain in two weeks is plenty

Don't you think you're carrying it a little far in making up the rain deficit in a couple of weeks?

In my experience, the horses like being in parades more than the riders. It seems to feed their egos.
