Lets hope the weather is pleasant for your holiday!

Well, made it thru the thunderbumpers the past 2 afternoons. Totally nuts. Tuesday, on the way home, the lady I ride with and I ran right into that mess on the interstate. She was driving her hubby's Yukon XL - we got blown around pretty good as the clouds dumped rain! Thunder and lightening didn't last long but it was quite strong.

Yesterday the storms started about 4 pm, 1/2 an hour before the end of the work day. Waited them out at work, finally left for home a little before 5 (we get off at 4:30). No damage in our neck of the woods but a big tree got uprooted in Veazie (between Bangor and Orono) and knocked down across a major thoroughfare aka Route 2. Beautiful rainbows and a double rainbow! Small storm this afternoon...just enough to make a little mess and few big puddles. Supposed to be it until this weekend. I hope.

Yup. Never lost power. Finally stopped raining in the afternoon tho the past few days it looked like it was going to. At least the dew points are down, cool at night which is great for sleeping and leaving the windows open. ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

It reached a balmy high of 95°F here today ... same expected for tomorrow.
I am so thankful I work in an air conditioned building.
